Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria (AKISAN) scholarship 2024 award — Akwa Ibom. The AKISAN scholarship programme is currently open for applications from interested candidates. This programme is specifically for Akwa Ibom students who are pursuing their studies either in Nigeria or the United States.

AKISAN Scholarship 2024/2025

This scholarship provides financial support to Akwa Ibomites who are enrolled in institutions of higher education in the United States, including universities, colleges, and community colleges. The scholarship is a one-time award of $500 and will be given to 10 successful applicants from the US.

In addition to students in the US, the AKISAN USA programme also offers scholarships to Akwa Ibomites studying in Nigeria. This includes those enrolled in Colleges of Education, Polytechnics, the Maritime Academy, and Universities. For Nigerian applicants, the scholarship will be awarded to two qualified students from each of the 31 Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State, totalling 62 students.

AKISAN Scholarship Requirements 2024

Applicants must be Akwa Ibomites currently studying in higher education institutions in the USA or Nigeria.
A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required (for Akwa Ibom students in USA).
Previous recipients of the scholarship are not eligible to apply again.
For students studying in Nigeria, a GPA of 3.5 or higher is required for a N100,000 award, a GPA between 3.0-3.49 for a N75,000 award, and a GPA between 2.5-2.99 for a N50,000 award.
Applications must include a certificate of origin and a transcript from the most recent school year for undergraduate students.
WAEC result is needed for first-year undergraduate students studying in Nigeria.

How to Apply for AKISAN Scholarship 2024

Interested students must complete the online application form available on the AKISAN web portal at https://www.akisan.org. Applications should be accompanied by a school year transcript for undergraduate students, or a high school result for first-year undergraduates.
