The Bayelsa State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) is responsible for this recruitment exercise. This recruitment aims to fill teaching positions in basic schools within the state.
Bayelsa State SUBEB Recruitment 2024
The Bayelsa State Government has announced vacancies for teaching positions in basic schools. The recruitment process will last for two weeks. These positions are open to candidates who hold qualifications such as the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), Bachelor of Science in Education (B.Sc Ed), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), and Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.A Ed).
If you possess these qualifications and are interested in teaching in basic schools, you are encouraged to apply through the Bayelsa State primary school teachers’ recruitment portal. The official portal will be provided during the application process.
After SUBEB conducts the screening process, candidates can check if their names are on the list of shortlisted candidates. Those shortlisted will be invited for a recruitment interview, where they must present original and photocopies of their documents and qualifications.
The recruitment is open for several roles, including Headmaster, Education Officer, and Classroom Teacher.

Bayelsa State SUBEB Recruitment Requirements 2024
- Hold a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)
- Have at least five O’ Level credit passes, including Mathematics, English, and three other relevant subjects, in no more than two sittings
- Candidates with B.Sc (Ed), B.Ed, or B.A (Ed) are also eligible to apply
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old
- Be willing to teach in any local government area within the state
