AS Roma Academy in Abuja is looking for talented young footballers to join its elite teams. The Academy wants to build strong teams that can compete both in Nigeria and internationally.
To achieve this, the Academy is organizing tryouts to find players with great skills and good character. They have also increased the number of scholarship slots. Up to 100 players will get full residential scholarships to join AS Roma Academy Abuja.
The Academy provides the best training and education for young footballers. Players will develop their skills and have access to academic and professional opportunities. Nigeria has many young football lovers, and this program aims to discover the best among them.
This is more than just playing football. The program will help players improve their technical and tactical skills, build strong characters, and develop leadership abilities.
The training at AS Roma Academy Abuja follows the same methods used in AS Roma Italy. Players will learn through position games, technical training, ball control, movement exercises, and other advanced football techniques.
Requirements
The tryouts are open to football-loving youths across Nigeria. Boys aged 13 to 19 and girls aged 15 to 19 can participate.
The eligible categories are:
Girls: U17 & U19
Boys: U13, U15, U17 & U19
The first tryout phase will be held in different states across Nigeria. This allows everyone interested to participate. Each zone will have its own scheduled dates with trained coaches assessing the players.
Players who pass the regional tryouts will be invited to Abuja for the final stage. This final phase will be conducted by AS Roma Academy coaches from Italy, who hold UEFA coaching licenses.
Players who perform well in the final stage will receive a one-year full scholarship. This scholarship includes:

– Accommodation and feeding
– Schooling (for those still in school)
– Other benefits

Screening Venues:
The first tryouts will happen in all 36 states and the FCT. Players who qualify will be invited to Abuja for the final screening. The final stage will be conducted by AS Roma coaches from Italy.
