The Federal Government has approved the recruitment of new staff into the Federal Fire Service (FFS) through the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB). The next phase of recruitment into the Federal Fire Service has started on September 15 2024. This recruitment is open to everyone who has the right qualifications and is interested in working for the Federal Government. Both fresh graduates and experienced professionals can apply for the job vacancies available in the Service.

The CDCFIB has opened the recruitment portal for candidates who are interested in applying. This is a good opportunity for people who want to work in the public sector. Those who meet the requirements can submit their applications through the official recruitment portal of the Federal Fire Service, which will be mentioned in this guide.

There are different positions available, such as Inspector of Fire, Assistant Inspector of Fire, and Fire Assistant.

Candidates who have professional registrations in any of the required fields will have an advantage during the recruitment process. The CDCFIB is looking for qualified people who are ready to start their careers in the Service. Candidates MUST be willing to work in any location within the state where they are posted.

Federal Fire Service Recruitment Eligibility Requirements 2024

• Applicants must be Nigerians by birth
• Applicants should have the required qualifications, which could be SSCE (WASCCE, NECO, GCE, or equivalent) or a degree (Bachelor’s, HND, ND, or equivalent) in no more than two sittings and must include English and Mathematics
• Applicants to be physically fit and have a Certificate of Medical Fitness from a Government Hospital
• Must be of good character and should not have been convicted of any criminal offense. Also, should not be a member of any secret society, cult, or a drug addict
• Candidate ages must be between 18 and 35 years old
• Male applicants should have a height of at least 1.65m, while female applicants should have a height of at least 1.60m. For male applicants, the chest measurement should be no less than 0.87m
• Computer skills will give an applicant an added advantage, although it is not compulsory

How to Apply for Federal Fire Service Recruitment 2024

• Visit the CDCFIB recruitment portal at https://cdcfib.career/
• Choose the job position that matches your qualifications.
• Fill out the Federal Fire Service application form
• Upload all required documents, including your academic qualifications
• Submit your application online
• Print out and fill out the Referee forms
• Print out the registration slip for your records

The application portal will be open for 6 weeks from the date the recruitment was announced. Any document or qualifications not presented at the recruitment center will not be accepted later on. Candidates are only allowed to submit one application. If you submit multiple applications, you will be disqualified automatically. The recruitment is free, so you should not pay anyone who claims they can help you secure a job. Candidates who try to pay in exchange for the job will be handed over to the authorities if caught.
