Kaduna State student loan application 2024/2025 — Kaduna. The application process for the Kaduna State student loan is now open for the 2024/2025 academic session. The Governor of Kaduna State has given approval for the Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board (KADSSLB) to provide loans to students who are indigenes of the state. These loans are available to students studying in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
Kaduna State Student Loan 2024/2025
Registration for the 2024/2025 academic session loan is currently ongoing. This loan is intended to help students who need financial assistance with their tuition fees. Eligible students must be indigenes of Kaduna State and must be enrolled in public tertiary institutions within Nigeria.
Citizens of Kaduna State can access loans of up to 5 million naira per sponsor. A student may have a maximum of two sponsors. The repayment period for the loan is up to 5 years. However, only an employed student or a sponsor who is employed can apply for this loan. Therefore, unemployed students cannot apply on their own.
The Kaduna State Government (KDSG) also offers a Computer Purchase Education Loan. This loan is intended to support e-learning initiatives in the state. However, it comes with an 8% interest rate.
Kaduna State Student Loan Requirements 2024/2025
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be citizens of Kaduna State by either residency or state of origin.
- Applicants must be full-time students in public higher institutions. This includes undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional courses.
- Employees from the private sector, as well as state and federal civil servants, are eligible.
- Applicants must have a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
- Undergraduate applicants must submit their WASSCE/NECO results.
- Postgraduate applicants must submit their degree certificates.
- Students with disabilities are also eligible for this loan.
- No cash will be given directly to students or parents for the Computer Purchase Education Loan.
How to Apply for Kaduna State Student Loan 2024/2025
Interested students should visit the official Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board registration portal at https://kdsg-scholarship.com. On the website, click on Loan Applications, create an account, and fill out the application form. Applicants will need to select their preferred loan type, including the Undergraduate and Postgraduate loans or the Computer Purchase Education Loan.
Applicants will be required to submit the following documents:
- Admission letter
- Recent passport photograph
- Certificate of local government origin
- School ID card or library identification card
- Original Letter of Identification (from the registrar, dean of student affairs, faculty dean, or head of department)
- Birth Certificate or Age Declaration
- Two copies of Guarantor’s Forms (downloadable from the Board’s website)
- Previous certificate (for postgraduate applicants)
These loans are strictly for students enrolled in public higher institutions within Nigeria.

Kaduna State Student Loan Payment 2024/2025
The Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board will thoroughly review all loan applications. Eligible students will be notified once their tuition fees for the 2024/2025 academic session have been fully paid. The payment process will continue until all eligible students have been cleared for the loan.
