Kebbi State acholarship for the 2024/2025 academic session is ongoing. The Kebbi State Scholarship Board has opened the 2024/2025 session for student scholarship applications. This scholarship is approved by the Board under the Ministry for Higher Education to help eligible students fund their education.
It is available to all indigene students of Kebbi. The Board awards scholarships to qualified students in universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
Kebbi State Scholarship Board 2024/2025
This scholarship is for Kebbi indigene students who are either yet to receive their admission letter, currently enrolled with admission letter, or have completed their degree in tertiary institutions.
Kebbi State Scholarship Board generally offers need-based, merit-based scholarships, and scholarships for students with physical disabilities enrolled in public tertiary institutions.
Students can apply for either Local or Foreign scholarship programmes.
Kebbi State Scholarship Requirements 2024/2025
- All applicants must be indigenes of Kebbi.
- Must have a valid NIN.
- Indigent students studying within and outside Kebbi State are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be registered full-time students in government-approved public tertiary institutions.
- Fresh students must have at least 5 credits in Mathematics and English in WAEC or NECO.
- Undergraduate students must present a valid admission letter.
- Shortlisted foreign scholarship applicants must undergo a drug test and provide a full medical certificate from a government hospital.
- Employed applicants must provide a reference letter from their employer, while unemployed applicants must provide a reference letter from their last institution of study.
- Postgraduate applicants for the foreign scholarship must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 CGPA system or 3.6 on a 4.0 CGPA system for a master’s degree.
- PhD applicants must have a minimum of a Master’s degree with merit.
- Need-based scholarship applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 2.0 on a 5.0 CGPA system or 1.6 on a 4.0 CGPA system, while a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 CGPA system or 3.5 on a 4.0 CGPA system is required for a merit-based scholarship.
- Postgraduate applicants for a local scholarship must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 CGPA system or 3.2 on a 4.0 CGPA system.
How to Apply for Kebbi State Scholarship 2024/2025
Interested applicants should visit the official Kebbi State Scholarship Board registration portal at https://kebbistate.gov.ng and click on Apply to apply. Students must complete the application form with their personal and academic information and print the online acknowledgment slip. Applicants can choose from Local or Foreign scholarships. Each scholarship category may be either need-based, merit-based, or disability-based.
The completed application form MUST be submitted before the deadline in the advertisement on the Board portal. After the registration period ends, physical verification will be conducted by the Board where 2024 successful candidates will be shortlisted.

Kebbi State Scholarship Funds Disbursement 2024
The Kebbi State Scholarship Board will carefully review all the information submitted by the applicants. They will verify that students are still enrolled in their institutions before approving and disbursing the scholarship funds.
Once approved, the scholarship funds will be released to various tertiary institutions within or outside Nigeria (as the case may be) to cover the tuition of students.
