Lagos State scholarship 2024/2025 academic session. The Lagos State scholarship for the 2024/2025 academic session is now available for students to apply. This scholarship is approved by the Lagos State Scholarship Board to support students in paying for their education. It is open to all indigene students of Lagos State who are currently enrolled in recognized Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics, Colleges of Education, Schools of Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Technology across Nigeria.

This scholarship is specifically for students who have already completed their first year of study. It is for those in their second year and above in Universities and those in HND1 and above in Polytechnics and Monotechnics.

Lagos State Scholarship 2024/2025

Each qualifying student who is of Lagos State origin will receive a scholarship sum of N225,000. This applies to both students in HND programs and undergraduate students in tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

The scholarship is available only to full-time students in Federal, State, and Private tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Part-time students or those enrolled in short courses are not eligible for this scholarship.

The Lagos State scholarship also makes provisions for less-privileged and physically challenged students who are enrolled in public tertiary institutions. Students with physical disability are eligible to apply for this scholarship, and it is not restricted to Lagos indigenes alone. Students from other states with physical disabilities can also benefit from this scholarship if they meet the other eligibility requirements.

Lagos State Scholarship 2024/2025 Requirements

  • Applicants must be an indigene of Lagos State
  • The scholarship is only for students who are studying full-time in tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Part-time students or those enrolled in pre-degree or certificate courses are not eligible
  • Applicants must have completed at least one academic session in their current institution. The scholarship is only for students in their second year and above. Students must maintain a minimum CGPA of 4.0 if they are in a University, or 3.5 if they are in a Polytechnic or College of Education
  • The scholarship is specifically for financially disadvantaged students
  • Whether students are studying within Lagos State or outside the state, they can apply
  • Students with physical disabilities must provide proof of disability

How to Apply for the Lagos State Scholarship 2024/2025

  • Visit the official Lagos State Student scholarship registration portal at https://portal.lagosscholarship.org/
  • Click on Apply Now and fill out the application form with your correct information
  • Check your email for a verification link. Click on the link to activate your account
  • Use your email and password to log in to the scholarship portal
  • Once logged in, complete the scholarship form by scanning and uploading the required documents, including a recent passport photograph, a certificate of local government of origin, and your school ID card
  • Ensure that you keep your CGPA at or above 4.0 for University students or 3.5 for Polytechnic and College of Education students

The Lagos State Scholarship Board will review all the information submitted. They will check that students are still enrolled in your institution before they approve and release the scholarship funds. If everything is in order, students’ applications will be approved, and the scholarship funds will be paid into their accounts.

This scholarship can be renewed each year, but only if students maintain good academic performance. Students must continue to meet the required CGPA to keep receiving the scholarship. The Lagos State Scholarship Board expects that students who receive the scholarship will remain focused on their studies and continue to perform well academically.
