Manchester City Academy Scholarship

This season, Manchester City has sent out invitations to interested players in their Academy to apply for the Manchester City Academy scholarship  2024/2025. This scholarship is open to eligible players who play at the City academy. Players who have good potential in football have to join Manchester City Academy. With this Academy scholarship, players will be able to cut costs while also learning to play football from one of the best clubs in the Premier League. It also becomes easier to be noticed by other top-tier teams and get selected for the national football team.

According to the Premier League rules, however, players under the age of 17 years old must start the 2024–2025 season on a scholarship agreement. Such players can only sign a professional football contract after their 17th birthday.

Manchester City Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

• Candidates must be players in the Man City Football Academy
• Both boys and girls must be aged between 5 to 14 years old to be eligible. Manchester City may also have room for players under the age of 21, though this looks late already
• No professional contracts will be signed until players reach the age of 17 due to EPL rules
• Both English and international players are eligible for Manchester City Football Academy scholarship
• International players must possess a valid visa to stay in England

Manchester City Football Academy Scholarship  Application Process

Manchester City offers a scholarship to their academy players every season. The 2024/2025 scholarship is ongoing. Follow the steps below to apply for Man City Football Academy scholarship:

• Join Manchester City Academy through the Manchester City Football School programme at www.mancity.com/learn-football/football-school. You will have to complete the Manchester City Academy registration form accordingly
• Pick any of the football programmes and apply for it
• Play well and become a key figure in Manchester City’s youth football because this is the pathway that will take you into the Academy
• Manchester City will send you a scholarship offer
• Review and accept the scholarship offer to become a Man City scholar

Eligible players have to accept the scholarship and will be given the application forms by Manchester City F.C. to fill out and submit for registration. Accepting this scholarship means players are now on full-time schedules with the club. All City scholarship players will sign their scholarship deals in front of their family and friends at the Man City Academy’s scholar signing event at the City Football Academy during the summer.

You have to put in a lot of work on and off the pitch to achieve Manchester City scholarship status once you have been registered in the academy. Players will enjoy support from the academy staff to help them build towards their dream of becoming professional footballers. But most of the hard work is up to the player.
