Ogun State SME empowerment fund—Ogun. Ogun State has launched its SME empowerment portal. This portal is for disbursing N500 million naira in SME empowerment funds. The aim of this scheme is to empower over 500 small and medium-scale businesses in Ogun State.

Ogun State Grant for SME Empowerment

Ogun government is committed to helping entrepreneurs facing challenges in the State, especially due to the high cost of business operations. The Ogun State Government has approved a N2 billion financial empowerment scheme. This scheme is for small and medium businesses in the state. The support will be through grants and loans to help with operational expenses and working capital needs. But for this guide, we are talking about the grant only.

Ogun State SME Grant Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Ogun State SME Grant, a business must:

  • Be located in Ogun State
  • Be a micro or small enterprise, such as Retail, Fashion, Hair and Beauty, Light Manufacturing, or Hospitality
  • Be in operation for at least one year
  • Employ 1-3 people
  • Be owned by someone aged 18-60 years
  • Applicants must NOT have benefited from the OG-Cares operational grant
  • Have a state business premises permit or LG trade permit
  • Provide a 12-month bank statement, BVN, and a bank account

How to Apply for Ogun State Grant SME Empowerment Fund

  1. Go to the Ogun State SME Empowerment Fund portal at https://smesupport.ogunstate.gov.ng/
  2. Scroll down and click on Get Started
  3. Create an account with your email or phone number
  4. Log in to the account and click on Apply
  5. Submit your personal information
  6. Upload the required documents
  7. Click on Submit to complete your application

Each business can receive a flat amount of N100,000. Businesses applying in multiple states or outside Ogun State will be disqualified.
