Ondo State Student Bursary 2024/2025 academic session—Ondo. The application for the Ondo State bursary is now open. The Governor of Ondo State has approved the payment of the 2024/2025 Bursary bursary to indigent students. This award is being offered to support students who are struggling financially with their education. The Bursary is available to students who are currently enrolled in recognized Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics, Colleges of Education, Schools of Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Technology within Nigeria. The scholarship will cover their entire course of study from the first year until they graduate.
Ondo State Student Bursary 2024/2025
Every student of Ondo State origin who is studying in recognized tertiary institutions in Nigeria is eligible for a bursary award in 2024. The bursary amount for PhD students is N200,000. Master’s students and law graduates will now receive N150,000. Postgraduate Diploma students are set to receive N100,000. For undergraduates in Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, and Health Institutions, the bursary amount is N50,000.
This bursary is meant for the 2024/2025 academic session. Only students enrolled in private, State or federal government-owned tertiary institutions are eligible. The bursary funds will be disbursed to Ondo State students in various higher education institutions across the country.
Ondo State Student Bursary Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this bursary, students must meet the following requirements:
- The applicant must be an indigene of Ondo State
- The student must be enrolled in a private, State or federally-owned institution in any part of the country
- The bursary is open to students who are financially disadvantaged, whether they are studying within or outside the State
How to Apply for Ondo State Student Bursary 2024/2025
Ondo students are follow the official steps below to apply for the bursary:
- Go to the official Ondo State student bursary registration portal at https://onssb.ondostate.gov.ng/ossms/.
- Click on Apply Now and fill out the application form with accurate details
- After submitting your application, check your email for a verification link. Click on the link to activate your account
- Use your email and password to log in to the bursary portal
- Once logged in, click on the link to complete the bursary form.
- Scan and upload the required documents. These include a recent passport photograph, a certificate of local government of origin, and your school ID card
Students will undergo a screening process that requires them to present the following certified documents during the verification and monitoring exercise, including school ID card, Letter of Identification from Head of Department, and Certificate of Local Government of Attestation.
The Ondo State bursary board will verify all information and monitor the application process to confirm studentship before paying out the money to students.
The Board will review all student applications. If eligible, the student’s account will be activated. Make sure all account information is accurate to avoid any issues that could lead to disqualification.

Payments for the bursary award are ongoing. The Governor has ordered that the disbursement be done in phases. The funds will be paid directly into the accounts of eligible students, as approved by the Governor. Payments will continue until all eligible students have received their bursary. All payments are made directly to students’ accounts for transparency and accountability.
