The Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (ODSUBEB) has started the recruitment of qualified teachers for public primary schools in the rural areas of Ondo State. This SUBEB recruitment exercise in Onda is specifically to make sure that schools in rural areas are adequately staffed. The Executive Chairman of ODSUBEB emphasized that the recruitment process is based on a needs assessment for each Local Government Area. Teachers will be recruited Community by Community and Local Government by Local Government. This approach will make sure that new teachers remain in their localities for at least five years before they can request a transfer.
