The Government of Rivers State of Nigeria has announced 2024/2025 admission into Schools of Nursing and Midwifery, Port Harcourt (RIVSON). Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Schools of Nursing and Midwifery, Port Harcourt.
The duration in any of the Schools is three (3) years. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply before the 2024 deadline.
Rivers State School of Nursing Port Harcourt Requirement
The minimum entry requirements include:
- Credit Level Passes in five (5) subjects in WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
- NABTEB cannot be combined with any other O’Level credentials)
- Subject requirements include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at Credit Levels.
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
- Post Basic Midwifery applicants should present present evidence of registration with Council and possess 2 years’ post-graduation experience and current license.

Interested applicants should obtain application forms from the Ministry of Health after the payment of a non-refundable fee of N15,000 payable at:

The applicant must return the payment Teller to the Ministry of Health, Block A, Secretariat Complex, 4th Floor, Room 33, for issuance of application form.

The form is available from May 2024, and the deadline is July, 2024.
There will be an Entrance Examination for qualified applicants, which will take place on 22nd JULY, 2024 at the RIVSON, Port Harcourt.
