Taraba State SUBEB Recruitment

The Taraba State Government has approved the recruitment of basic education teachers in all Local Government Areas. The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) will oversee this recruitment. This initiative aims to address the shortage of teachers in primary and junior secondary schools across the state.

Interested people with the required qualifications are encouraged to apply through the Taraba State primary school teachers’ recruitment portal. Detailed guidelines for the application process will be provided in this guide.

Taraba State SUBEB Recruitment 2024

The Taraba State Government has officially announced openings for teaching positions in basic schools. The recruitment process will run over two weeks. Positions are available for candidates with qualifications such as the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), Bachelor of Science in Education (B.Sc Ed), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), and Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.A Ed).

After the initial screening process conducted by SUBEB, applicants will be able to check if their names appear on the list of shortlisted candidates. Those shortlisted will attend a recruitment interview, where they must present original and photocopies of their documents and qualifications.

The recruitment is open for various roles, including Headmaster, Education Officer, and Classroom Teacher.

Teachers are required to fill positions for the following subjects:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Social Studies
  • Basic Education Studies
  • Elementary Science
  • Agricultural Science
  • Physical and Health Education
  • Computer Science
  • Primary Education Studies
  • Christian Religious Studies
  • French

Teachers in other subject areas, especially in STEM fields, are also encouraged to apply.

Taraba State SUBEB Recruitment Requirements 2024

  • Only indigenes of Taraba State can apply.
  • Candidates must have a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE).
  • Obtain at least five O’Level credit passes, including Mathematics and English, in no more than two sittings.
  • Holders of B.Sc (Ed), B.Ed, or B.A (Ed) are also eligible.
  • Be willing to teach in any local government area within the state.
  • Applicants must not exceed 35 years of age. Age declarations less than six months old will not be accepted.
  • Candidates with Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) registration will have an added advantage.
  • Referees must be civil servants from Taraba State on grade level 14 or above.

How to Apply for Taraba State SUBEB Recruitment 2024

Qualified candidates can apply through the official online SUBEB application portal at https://tarabastate.gov.ng. Register a new account using an active email address and phone number. Fill out the online application form carefully and submit your application and print out the registration slip. This slip will be required for subsequent stages of the recruitment process, including the SUBEB examination and interview.

    Candidates must ensure their documents are clear and meet the specified standards. Applications found to be fraudulent will be disqualified, and the individuals involved will face legal action.

    Taraba SUBEB Application Deadline

    The application deadline is 15 September 2024, at 12:00 midnight. Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.

    Candidates are advised to avoid any form of financial inducement or bribery during the application process. Any such attempts will result in disqualification and possible prosecution.
