The Nigerian Army (NA) has announced the 2nd Edition of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Literary Competitions 2025. This Edition is themed “The Nigerian Army: Securing The People And Promoting Development.”
Entry Requirements
COAS Essay Competition
- Topics will be coined from the theme of this competition
- Length of the essay for Primary and Secondary schools should not exceed 2000 words while those for tertiary institutions should be between 3000 to 5000 words
- Essay should be the original thoughts of the writer
- Completed essay must be uploaded to dcma.army.mil.ng before 31st March 2024.
COAS Art Competition
- Art work must have bearing with the theme
- All artworks are limited to only Painting and Drawing
- Art work should be submitted with a short caption
- Art work should be original and not have been published before
- Entries are to be snapped/scanned and uploaded to dcma.army.mil.ng before 31 March 2025
COAS Poetry Competition
- All poems should be original
- Poems can belong to any genre but must be related to the theme of the competition
- Poems must contain a maximum of 200 words and must be uploaded on dcma.army.mil.ng before 31st March 2025
- All poems must be in the English Language
How to Apply
Interested applicants should visit https://dcma.army.mil.ng and register. The entry opens on 1 OCTOBER 2024 and closes 31 MARCH 2025.
Application is open to all Nigerian Children/Youths in Primary Schools (age 5-11 years), Secondary Schools (age 12-17) and Tertiary Institutions (age 18-24 years)
