NDE Renewed Hope Employment Initiative 2024 - Apply Here

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has launched the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative 2024 to provide essential skills training to unskilled and unemployed individuals across Nigeria. Aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, this program aims to empower 93,731 Nigerians by offering training in vocational, agricultural, and entrepreneurial skills, as well as opportunities in the public works sector.

The NDE’s main goal is to address unemployment by training individuals in over 30 different skill sets, enabling them to become self-sufficient. This initiative will also provide necessary resources like start-up capital, equipment, and tools. Additionally, the program will help participants access loans through credit-granting institutions, enabling them to start small and medium-sized businesses.

Commencement and End Dates

  • Start Date: Monday, October 21, 2024
  • End Date: Tuesday, December 31, 2024

Eligibility

To ensure fair and broad access, the initiative is designed to include a minimum of 10 individuals from each electoral ward across Nigeria. Special provisions are made for women and persons with special needs to promote an inclusive environment. Here’s how to apply:

How to Apply

  1. Visit the NDE Website: Applicants must log on to https://nde.gov.ng to register.
  2. Create an Account: Provide a valid email, passport photograph, and National Identity Number (NIN).
  3. Submission and Confirmation: Submit the application. Successful candidates will be contacted by the NDE for deployment to training centers.

Program Structure

The initiative offers diverse training opportunities in four main areas:

  1. Special Public Works – Providing hands-on training in public works projects.
  2. Vocational Training – Covering various vocational skills to prepare participants for self-employment.
  3. Small and Medium Enterprises – Guidance and training to establish small and medium-sized businesses.
  4. Agricultural Programs – Offering skills for agricultural-based jobs and entrepreneurship.

Benefits for Participants

Participants in the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative 2024 can expect a comprehensive support system, including:

  • Trainees receive a monthly stipend during the training period.
  • Upon completing the training, participants will be provided with capital to kick-start their business.

  • Graduates of the program may qualify for loans and grants from partnering credit institutions to scale their businesses.

Approval has also been given for the immediate payment of outstanding stipends and allowances to NDE trainees and trainers covering 2021 to 2022 and April to August 2024.
