Talata Mafara – Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Talata Mafara, has officially announced that the sale of admission forms for the 2024/2025 academic session is now open. The institution invites interested and qualified candidates to apply for various programs across pre-ND, ND, and HND levels.

Prospective students should be aware that all admission forms are available nationwide at Zenith Bank branches. Importantly, applicants must ensure they have obtained a JAMB form and selected Abdu Gusau Polytechnic as their first choice of institution, as this is mandatory for their admission process to move forward.

Entry Requirements for Applicants

The polytechnic has outlined specific requirements for each academic level:

• For Pre-ND Programs: Candidates should have at least four passes in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics. The available Pre-ND courses include Business, Office Technology Management (OTM), Science, Finance, and Engineering.
• For ND Programs: Candidates must possess a minimum of five credits in GCE O’level or an equivalent qualification, secured in no more than two sittings. Additionally, candidates must have a satisfactory JAMB score meeting the polytechnic’s minimum points requirement. Courses at this level include Business, Office Technology Management, Mass Communication, Banking & Finance, Accounting, Science Laboratory Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Quantity Survey, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Library Science, Diploma in Civil Law, and Diploma in Sharia & Civil Law.
• For HND Programs: In addition to the ND entry requirements, candidates must have a National Diploma certificate. The available HND courses include Business, Office Technology Management, Accounting, and Applied Science (Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Physics). The polytechnic also offers HND programs in advanced technology fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Computer Networks and Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Software and Web Development, as well as in Mass Communications with specializations in Film and Multimedia Production, Strategic Communications and Media Studies, Journalism Broadcast and Digital Journalism, and Media Production.

How to Apply

Candidates should follow these steps when filling out the online admission form:

1. Begin Application on https://agpmafara.edu.ng: Select “Apply for Admission” on the right-hand side of the application page.
2. Verify Payment: Enter the confirmation order number found on the payment receipt obtained from the bank in the designated box and click “Verify” to confirm payment.
3. Log In: Once payment is verified, the system will automatically log the applicant into their account.
4. Fill Biodata Form: Click on “Continue Application” to access the Biodata form. Complete all required fields and save the information.
5. Fill School/Institution Information: Click on “School/Institution” at the top, complete the form, and save.
6. Provide Next of Kin/Sponsor Information: Click “Next of Kin/Sponsor” at the top, enter the details, and save.
7. Upload Passport Photo: Click “Upload Image,” select and upload a passport photograph, and save.
8. Print Application Form: Click “Print My Form” at the top and keep a printed copy of the form for future reference.

Applicants must print a copy of the form after completion, as failure to do so will leave the application incomplete. Additionally, the receipt number on the payment receipt obtained from the bank will serve as the applicant’s username and password, though applicants can change their password upon logging in.

Payment and Acquisition of Scratch Cards

All qualified and interested applicants can purchase scratch cards for online form access from the polytechnic’s bursary department and designated banks in Talata Mafara. The cost for obtaining a scratch card is set at five thousand Naira (₦5,000).
