Amotekun is a security outfit formed by the Southwestern government to protect citizens in these states from security threats. The word ‘Amotekun’ means ‘Leopard’ in English, and their motto is “Zero Tolerance to Crime”.

- Applicants must have their First School Leaving Certificate such as WAEC, GCE, or NECO
- Must be an indigene of the specific state
- Applicants’ age must be between 18 and 60 years old
- Birth certificate or age declaration
- National Identity Number (NIN)
- State of Origin certificate
