Kebbi State College of Nursing Science Birnin Kebbi (KBCONS) admission form is out on sale for 2024/2025 academic session. The sale of admission commences from Monday 19th February, 2024 to Friday 1st March, 2024 into the following programmes: National Diploma/Higher National Diploma ND/HND Nursing, Basic Nursing, Basic Midwifery, Community Midwifery, Community Nursing, Post Basic Nursing, and Post Basic Midwifery.
Minimum Entry Requirements
- ND General Nursing, Basic Nursing, and Post Basic Nursing, and Post Basic Midwifery applicants must have at least FIVE credit passes in WAEC, SSCE, NECO, or GCE O’Level at not more than two sittings, including Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
- Community Midwifery and Community Nursing applicants require at least FOUR credits in English Language, Biology and any two of Mathematics, Chemistry or Physics.
- Combination of WAEC and NECO, WAEC and WAEC, or NECO and NECO is acceptable. However, NABTEB cannot be combined with WAEC or NECO or another NABTEB.
- Awaiting SSCE result is not accepted.
- ND admission is through Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), and JAMB cut off mark is 160 for 2024/2025 session.
- HND applicants require ND in General Nursing Programme and a minimum of CGPA of 2.0 (pass) at ND level
- No JAMB required for Basic Nursing and Basic Midwifery.
- Post Basic Nursing and Post Basic Midwifery applicants must present evidence of registration with Council and possess post-graduation experience and current license.
- Community Midwifery and Community Nursing applicants MUST be female indigenes of Kebbi State.
- Applicants for Basic Midwifery MUST be females.
Method of Application
Interested ND Nursing applicants must have scored at least 160 in the JAMB UTME 2024, chosen the Kebbi State College of Nursing Science as first choice, and have uploaded their SSCE result on JAMB portal. ND candidates should visit KBCONS 2024 Post-UTME portal at https://kbcons.edu.ng/ and apply for the screening/interview exercise for admission into the College. Applicants will have to provide their UTME Number for verification, make payment (2024 fee indicated on the application form), and fill out, submit the application form, and print the Interview Slip, which contains the 2024 date of the interview.
Basic Nursing, Basic Midwifery, Community Midwifery, Community Nursing, Post Basic Nursing, Post Basic Midwifery, Refresher Basic Midwifery, and Basic Midwifery Direct entry can also visit KBCONS portal at https://kbcons.edu.ng and apply.
Applicants will be required to pay a non refundable N6,500 application fee, and then proceed to fill out the form with their personal and academic information. The applicant will also upload their passport and results/certificates, and then print their completed application forms, Acknowledge Slip and payment receipt for documentation.
Candidates can also purchase the admission forms directly at the Kebbi State College of Nursing Science, Birnin Kebbi campus.
Completed application forms must be submitted on or before Sunday 3rd March, 2024.
The Computer Based Test (CBT) examination will hold from Monday 4th March, 2024 to Sunday 10th March, 2024.
The list of successful candidates admitted into the College for the 2024/2025 session will be published on the School’s website. Candidates will also be notified about their admission status.
