The College of Nursing Sciences Gombe has advertised the online sales of admission forms for the Post Basic Nursing Programme, Basic Nursing, ND/HND Nursing, and Basic Midwifery for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The Gombe State College of Nursing Sciences wishes to inform the general public, especially those seeking admission, that the online sales of forms is open for all qualified candidates.
College of Nursing Sciences Gombe Entry Requirements
- All applicants must possess WAEC, SSCE/GCE, NECO, or NABTEB certificates with at least five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. These credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Candidates presenting NABTEB result cannot combine it with any other results. If a candidate uses NABTEB, they must have all five required credits in that result.
- Candidates awaiting results should not apply because there is no provision for such applicants.
- Post Basic Nursing programme will last for 18 months.
- Post Basic Nursing applicants must be female Registered Midwives (RM) with a current practising licence.
- Basic Nursing/ND/HND Nursing programme is a four-year uninterrupted course (two years for ND and two years for HND).
- Basic Nursing applicants must have a JAMB score of 160 or above.
- Basic Nursing candidates must be between the ages of 16 and 35 on admission and must be physically fit.
- Applicants for Basic Midwifery can apply without a JAMB UTME score.
Method of Application
Interested applicants should visit College of Nursing Sciences Gombe portal at www.cnsgombe.edu.ng to make a payment of N20,000 only and fill out the form. The form is also available at the College Café or any business centre from Mon-Friday, 8am to 4pm.
The sales of the online application forms and the screening process will start and end on the date indicated on the announcement or admission form for 2024.
Post Basic Nursing Programme and Basic Midwifery applicants will pay a non-refundable application fee (as indicated on the form) is required, excluding e-service charges. Applicants for Basic Nursing/ND/HND Nursing must also pay a JAMB screening fee (as indicated on the application form).
Applicants must attach the following documents to their completed forms when coming for registration:
- Five certified recent passport-size photographs.
- Photocopies of all credentials, including primary and secondary school certificates.
- Photocopy of receipt for the purchase of the form.
- Local Government Indigene Certificate and declaration of age or birth certificate.
- Notification of registration as a Registered Midwife (RM) with a current practising licence (for Post Basic Nursing applicants only).
