Gombe State University (GSU) has officially announced details for the Post-UTME screening exercise for the 2024/2025 academic session. Candidates seeking admission into the university’s degree programs can register for the screening starting Monday, November 4, 2024. This exercise is specifically for candidates who selected GSU as their first choice on the JAMB portal.
Eligible candidates must meet specific requirements, including minimum scores in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME):
- Sciences, Education, and Arts/Social Sciences: Minimum UTME score of 150.
- Nursing Science: Minimum UTME score of 180.
- Computer Science: Minimum UTME score of 170.
- Medicine, Pharmacy, and Law: Minimum UTME score of 200. Candidates applying for Medicine and Pharmacy who score below 200 are advised to consider alternative programs such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or Nursing.
Candidates seeking direct entry must possess relevant qualifications such as an NCE, IJMB, Advanced Level GCE, or Diploma in the same field they are applying for.
How to Apply
The screening registration fee is set at Two Thousand Naira (N2,000), non-refundable. Eligible candidates can access the online screening portal at http://dhrd-gsu-edu.com/admission. Here are the steps for registration:
- Enter your JAMB registration number and retrieve your details.
- Pay the screening fee using available payment options like ATM/Debit/Credit cards, bank transfers, or USSD.
- Complete the form to create your UTME/DE screening account.
- Register to capture your details.
- Click to generate the data form.
- Download a two-page PDF containing registration details on page 1 and the Post-UTME test card on page 2.
- Print both pages and attach photocopies of all credentials to page 1. Bring these, along with original documents, on the physical screening day.
Candidates will receive details about the screening dates through the portal after registration. Only candidates who complete both the online screening and submit required documents to their chosen department will be considered for admission.
All candidates are reminded to upload their O’Level results to the JAMB portal as a requirement for admission eligibility.
