How to Join Liverpool Academy from Other Countries

Liverpool Football Academy is currently recruiting young players into its academy. It doesn’t matter what country you are in, however, some countries will be at an advantage due to the presence of a Liverpool Academy in such countries. Nevertheless, you’ll find out here how to join Liverpool Academy and play the Liverpool way.

Players can develop their technical abilities further if they are willing to play overseas in European clubs like Liverpool (LFC). Your current local academy or college football may not take you far in your career unless it can expose you to scouts from top clubs. Liverpool Academy registers players in any position, including forwards, wingers, midfielders, defenders, and goalkeepers.

How to Join Liverpool Academy from Other Countries

1. Get Scouted

Your best chance is getting an LFC scout to find you. The problem with this method is that if your country doesn’t have Liverpool visibility, you’ll never directly be seen by LFC, but a different club can find you, and eventually it leads to Liverpool. Countries like Nigeria see Liverpool once in a while, not very often, but Egypt and Cyprus have a better Liverpool scout visibility. Don’t get this wrong. Liverpool has a very good network of scouts worldwide. They are very good at identifying young players.

Some people consider Liverpool trials. But it’s complicated, and here’s why. Liverpool Academy trials are by invitation only. Don’t bother sending an email because they will not open them, let alone read. Too many people send them emails. Moreover, it’s just not smart for Liverpool to invite strange players by email.

However, if you get scouted, it’s a FREE pathway to joining Liverpool Academy. The Club will never ask anyone for money to fill the Liverpool registration form. If you experience such, it’s a scam.

But many Liverpool International academies hold trials in some countries, such as Singapore. Its Academy in Singapore has a registration form for interested players to register.

2. Sign Up for Liverpool FC International Academy

We all know that not all quality football talents can come to England. Liverpool is well aware of this, and they can’t only rely on English-born players. That’s why Liverpool Football Academy is available on all continents, which includes Africa.

Go to www.liverpoolfc.com/international-academy/international-courses and scroll down to the bottom of the page where we have a map. It is this map that you will use to locate the nearest LFC International Academy centre in your own country. But in Africa, we have Liverpool Academy in Egypt.

If you need the Liverpool Academy registration form from Nigeria or any other African country, you will have to move to Cairo, Egypt.

If you reside anywhere in Africa, Egypt is your best bet. But this does not mean you should not have a look at the map. You never know; Liverpool might update it with new locations. Besides, there is a programme called Liverpool Academy Operator, which allows experts from all over the world to start a Liverpool Academy under the Liverpool brand. Some experts could sign up for that in your own country. Outside Africa, you will find Liverpool Academies in North America and most of Europe. But the good thing is that we have Liverpool Academy in Cyprus. The Liverpool online registration form is academy.lfcacademy.com.cy/en/application. It’s probably going to be the most cost-effective country for those in Cyprus.

3. Join Liverpool eAcademy

If there isn’t an official LFC location nearby, the best option for players is Liverpool’s online Academy at eacademy.liverpoolfc.com, which digitally helps interested young players learn to play the Liverpool way. Nothing out-of-the-world about this eAcademy though. It’s just a Liverpool platform with over 100 exclusive Liverpool video tutorials where young players can learn some fundamental football skills.

However, the problem with the eAcademy is that players have to register for the LFC Junior Membership or join an LFC International Academy coaching program to access the materials. It’s not the real deal though, since you won’t have physical training. Therefore, joining the physical Academy itself is much better.

4. Participate in Liverpool FC’s Training Camps

Liverpool holds training camps in different countries every season. The camps are only open to players from the age of 9 to 17. In the UK, it is a one or two-week course where players attend daily football training sessions and workshops. It takes place at other countries as well, but only if Liverpool has a presence in that country. Unfortunately, you are not likely to find a Liverpool training camp in Nigeria at the moment.

What age can you join Liverpool Academy?

You can join Liverpool Football Academy from age 6 to 17.

How much do you get paid in Liverpool FC Academy?

Liverpool does not pay players below the age of 17 due to Premier League rules. Players typically receive professional contracts after they turn 17. That’s when they become scholars, and the scholarship ends after two years. But this doesn’t mean that Liverpool may not cover some expenses. Everything will just be done according to the Premier League rules.
