Imo State Scholarship and Bursary 2024/2025 | How to Apply

The Imo State Scholarship and Bursary application for the 2024/2025 academic session is now open for students. This award is approved by the Imo State Scholarship Board to assist eligible students with their education costs. The scholarship is available to all students who are indigenes of Imo State. The Board will award scholarships to students who are already in their second year and above in universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

Imo State Student Scholarship and Bursary 2024/2025

The scholarship and bursary are specifically for students who have completed their first year of study and are now in their second year or above in higher institutions.

The scholarship is granted for one academic session and is only available to full-time students in federal, state, and private tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Part-time students or those enrolled in short courses are not eligible for this scholarship.

The Imo State Scholarship Board also provides scholarships for students with physical disabilities who are enrolled in public tertiary institutions. Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply for this scholarship.

Imo State Scholarship Requirements 2024/2025

  • Applicants must be indigenes of Imo State.
  • Must possess a valid NIN (National Identification Number).
  • Indigent students studying within and outside Imo State can apply.
  • Must be registered full-time students in government-approved public tertiary institutions.
  • Civil servants and newly admitted students, including Direct Entry (DE) students, are NOT eligible to apply.

How to Apply for Imo State Scholarship 2024/2025

Interested applicants should visit the official Imo State scholarship registration portal at https://imostate.gov.ng and fill out the Scholarship or Bursary form with their correct information. Candidates must upload the required documents and print out the application or acknowledgment slip.

The application process must be completed within the time specified on the advertisement on the official Board’s website. The time allowed will be strictly enforced. Screening will commence after the registration portal closes, and applicants will be notified about the venues and schedules for the screening exercise.

Applicants must bring photocopies of the following documents: original admission letter, original local government of origin certificate, original last school fee receipt, voter’s card or national ID card, original primary school certificate, and printout of the application or acknowledgment slip.

The Imo State Scholarship Board will review all documents and ensure that students are still enrolled in their institutions before approving and releasing the scholarship funds. Once approved, the funds will be disbursed to the students.
