Lagos State College of Nursing Igando (LASCON) admission form is out on sale for 2024/2025 academic session. Admission is available into ND Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, Nursing (RN), and Midwifery (RM). Interested candidates are encouraged to apply before the deadline on 16th August, 2024. LASCON Igando application fee is N20,000 only.
Minimum Entry Requirements
- ND General Nursing, Basic Nursing, and Post Basic Nursing, and Post Basic Midwifery applicants must have at least 5 credit passes in WAEC, SSCE, NECO, or GCE O’Level at not more than two sittings, including Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
- Combination of WAEC and NECO, WAEC and WAEC, or NECO and NECO is acceptable. However,
- NABTEB cannot be combined with WAEC or NECO or another NABTEB.
- ND admission is through Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), and 2024 JAMB cut off mark is 200.
- Applicant must be at least 17 years old for Nursing and 18 years old for Midwifery
- ND Nursing comes with with 1 year internship.
Method of Application
Interested ND Nursing applicants must have scored at least 200 in the JAMB UTME 2024 and chosen the Lagos State College of Nursing Igando as first choice.
Interested Nursing, Midwifery, and Public Health candidates should visit LASCON 2024 admission portal at https://lascon.edu.ng, click on the Course menu, and then click on Apply.
Applicants will have to provide their UTME Number for verification, pay the N20,000 application fee, fill out, and submit the application form. The applicant will also upload their passport and results/certificates, and then print out their Applicant Information Form.
Registration begins on Monday, 1st July, 2024 and ends on Friday 16th August, 2024.
Screening Exam
Only Applicants with the Form will be allowed to write the Computer Assisted Screening examination.
Date: LASCON Computer Assisted Screening date is 31th August 2024.
Time: 8:00am
Venue: LASCON Premises (inside Alimosho General Hospital, Igando)
The computer-based testing exam questions will cover English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Current Affairs.
Candidates should not make payment to any agent to gain admission into LASCON.
All programmes have their specific periods of application. Therefore, candidates can only apply to a programme that is currently open on the portal.
LASCON portal is open for application for 2024 on the exact indicated date on the form. The closing date for the application for 2024 is indicated on the admission notification and the application form. After the interview, candidates can check their admission status on the portal by clicking on Admission Status on the menu section. The candidate will be required to enter their Application Number or JAMB Registration Number to check status.
The Nursing programme is residential for all students without cooking facilities. Also, the accomodation arrangement is on a first come, first serve basis due to limited spaces.
