The School of Midwifery at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, is now accepting applications for its Basic Midwifery Course. This three-year program will lead successful candidates to become certified Registered Midwives (RM). The admission process is open to all eligible applicants, with classes commencing in March 2025.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for admission, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Age: Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of application.
- Educational Qualifications: A minimum of five (5) O’ Level credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, is required. These credits must be obtained in no more than two sittings of the same examination board, such as WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.
The sale of application forms began on October 29, 2024, and will close on December 16, 2024.
How to Apply
- Candidates should visit the UCH portal at https://portal.uch-ibadan.org.ng and select the REMITA PAYMENT option to pay an application fee of N25,000.
- After payment, applicants should use their RRR, email, and password to sign up on the portal.
- Once registered, applicants can log in to complete the online application.
- It is advised to download the Applicants’ User Guide from the portal.
- Print two copies of the application form and photocard for the examination day.
Entrance Exams
Applicants will take their exams at the Arch. Bamidele Olusegun Samson CBT Centre at UCH’s South Campus in Ibadan.
