The University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) College of Nursing Sciences admission for 2024/2025 is ongoing. The admission process for Nursing Programmes is now open for Post Basic Peri-Operative Nursing, Post Basic Psychiatric Nursing, and Post Basic Critical Care Nursing programmes.
This is to notify the general public that the School of Nursing, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, has been upgraded to the College of Nursing Sciences, UMTH. The institution now awards Bachelor in Nursing Science (BNSc) degrees.
UMTH Admission Requirements
- Candidates must have a JAMB UTME score of at least 180.
- Applicants should possess five credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry from SSCE, WAEC, or NECO in not more than two sittings.
- Combinations of WAEC with WAEC, NECO with NECO, or WAEC with NECO are allowed.
- NABTEB is acceptable in two sittings but cannot be combined with either WAEC or NECO.
UMTH College of Nursing Sciences Method of Admission
Admission is strictly through JAMB. Candidates with the highest scores are prioritised for admission into the UMTH College of Nursing Sciences. All applicants are advised to check their admission status through JAMB CAPS.

Admission forms starts from 4th October to 16th October, 2024.
UMTH College of Nursing Sciences Interview
After successful admission, candidates will be invited for an interview and will be required to pay the UMTH College of Nursing Sciences admission fee of N6,000 + N5,000.

All payments should be made through the UMTH REMITA platform into the UMTH schools account. Candidates should present original and photocopies of the payment evidence to obtain a hospital receipt, which they will use to collect their admission letter.
