The Zamfara State Government has started the process of recruiting 2,000 new teachers to improve the quality of education across the state. In the first phase, 500 teaching positions are available for qualified candidates.
The recruitment covers a variety of subjects and levels:
- Beginner Teachers (GL 07/01) for holders of the National Certificate in Education (NCE)
- Beginner Teachers (GL 08/02) for those with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education
Subjects include:
- English
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Computer Studies/ICT
- Entrepreneurship Studies
Zamfara State Teachers Recruitment Requirements
To be considered, applicants must:
- Hold an NCE or a Bachelor’s Degree in Education
- Have at least 5 credit passes in core subjects including English and Mathematics
- Possess a TRCN certificate (optional but preferred)
- Submit a medical report confirming fitness to work
- Be between 22 and 40 years old
How to Apply
Candidates are expected to apply through the new Zamfara State Recruitment Portal created by the Zamfara Information Technology Development Agency (ZITDA). Even those who filled earlier Google forms must reapply through this portal.
Here’s how to apply:
- Go to recruitment.zamfara.gov.ng
- Read the announcement on the homepage
- Check available positions based on your qualification (NCE or Bachelor’s Degree)
- Click “View Positions”
- Note the application deadline: April 16, 2025
- Review the application requirements and confirm your eligibility
- Click “Apply”
- Create your account using your personal details, including NIN and BVN
- Set a password and create your account
- Generate an invoice and pay a non-refundable application fee of N1,000
- Fill out the full application form with all necessary information
Only applications submitted through the official portal will be accepted.
Application Deadline
The deadline for applications is April 17, 2025, though the portal may close earlier on April 16, 2025, as per the procedure. The application window runs from April 3 to April 18, 2025.
Screening Process
Qualified candidates will be invited to a multi-stage screening, which includes:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Written and Oral Interviews
- Microteaching session
Only eligible applicants will proceed to the screening stage.
