- In the field that says “Search by Location”, enter the location you prefer. It can be in your country or your current country of residency
- Click Search Jobs
- You will then see the available job positions. Go ahead and select the one you qualify for and begin the African Union recruitment process for 2024.
- Or, after you visit the websit, At the bottom of the webpage, click View All Jobs

- Now, click on APPLY NOW and create your account
- Enter your correct personal information and your job application will be sent to the AU

- Visit https://jobs.au.int
- Click on View Portal at the top-right
- On the new webpage, click on Create an Account
- Enter your email address, password, and select Nigeria as your country
- Tick the two check boxes under Notification. The purpose is that you will now be able to receive job updates for any newly available job vacancies in the African Union

This should be coupled with at least 5 years of progressive experience and applied knowledge in policy design and implementation in international relations, cooperation, and resource mobilization, including two (2) years at an expert level.
- Experience in Partnerships and Resource Mobilization in national, regional, or international organizations will be beneficial.
- A demonstrated ability to write and speak effectively, as evidenced in reports, is necessary.
2. Certifying Officer (APRM)
Educational Qualifications
The applicant must possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management, Auditing, Accounting, or Commerce, along with at least 5 years of progressive experience in fields like auditing, budgeting, accounting, and financial management.
- Previous experience in roles related to certification, audit, inspection, or similar responsibilities within public sector organizations or similar entities at a national, regional, or international level will be beneficial.
- Holding a professional qualification in accounting, such as CIA, CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent credential from a recognized Institution, will serve as an additional advantage.
3. Salary and Benefits Officer
Educational Qualification
- A Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Financial Management, or Accounting, accompanied by at least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in payroll administration, including 3 years in a supervisory role. Experience in an international organization is preferred.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Financial Management, or Accounting, with at least 10 years of payroll administration experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role, again preferably in an international organization.
- Professional certification from recognized accounting institutions like ACCA or an equivalent would be an added advantage.
Eligibility Requirements for African Union Recruitment Process 2024

What It’s Like Working in AU
The AU appointment is made on a regular term contract for a period of 3 years. However, the first 12 months is considered as a probationary period. After probation, the contract will last for 2 years, and can be renewed if the Union is satisfied with your performance.
AU Prefers Candidates with Experience!
Experience and knowledge in certain areas will really make your CV stand up. AU considers candidates with knowledge of health protection, public health information in emergency settings, (including surveillance, data capture, data management, data analysis and epidemiological outputs.), statistical analyses and advanced analytical epidemiology, research experience in a relevant field (with at least one peer reviewed publication), teaching and training experience, and experience working with any international organization.
