Delta State Scholarship 2024/2025 — Delta. The Delta State scholarship for the 2024/2025 academic session is now open for students to apply. This scholarship is approved by the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board (DSBSB) to assist eligible students in paying for their education through the Students Special Assistance Scheme (SSAS). It is available to all indigene students of Delta State. The DSBSB will award scholarships to qualified students who are already in their second year and above in Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, and other tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
Delta State Student Scholarship 2024/2025
This scholarship is specifically for students who have completed their first year of study. It is available for those in their second year and above in higher institutions.
The scholarship is awarded for one academic session. It is available only to full-time students in Federal, State, and Private tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Part-time students or those enrolled in short courses are not eligible for this scholarship.
The Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board also offers scholarships for physically challenged students enrolled in public tertiary institutions. Students with physical disabilities are eligible to apply for this scholarship, and it is restricted to Delta indigenes alone.
Delta State Scholarship Requirements 2024/2025
- Applicants must be indigenes of Delta State.
- Must possess a valid NIN.
- Indigent students studying within and outside Delta State can apply.
- Students with physical disabilities must provide proof of disability.
- Must be registered full-time students in government-approved public tertiary institutions.
- Must have a CGPA of 4.20 or above in the previous academic year’s examination.
- Must have an account with a CBN-approved commercial bank.
How to Apply for the Delta State Scholarship 2024/2025
- Go to the official Delta State Student scholarship registration portal at http://www.dsbsb.dl.gov.ng.
- Click on Apply Now.
- Complete the application form with accurate information.
- Pay the non-refundable online processing fee using a debit card.
- Download and print the online acknowledgment card for your personal record.
The completed application form MUST be submitted within the stipulated period as stated in the advertisement on the official DSBSB portal. Physical verification will be conducted at the close of the registration period in your respective schools.
Applicants must submit certified copies of the following documents along with the application form: school fee payment receipts, school ID card, letter of identification, certified transcript by the Registrar of the school, certified copies of credentials, and Certificate of Local Government origin.
The Delta State Scholarship Board will review all the information submitted. They will verify that students are still enrolled in their institutions before approving and releasing the scholarship funds. Once approved, the scholarship funds will be paid directly into the students’ accounts.

Delta State Scholarship Renewal
This scholarship can be renewed each year, but only if students maintain good academic performance. Students must continue to meet the required CGPA to keep receiving the scholarship. The Delta State Scholarship Board expects that students who receive the scholarship will stay focused on their studies and continue to perform well academically.
