Delta State Student Bursary 2024/2025 academic session — Delta. The application for the Delta State student bursary is now open for the 2024/2025 academic session. The Governor of Delta State has approved the Students Special Assistance Scheme (SSAS) bursary to support students facing financial difficulties in their education. This is to inform students that registration for the 2024/2025 bursary is ongoing. Students from Delta State who are studying in tertiary institutions across Nigeria are eligible to apply for the bursary award.
The bursary is for the 2024/2025 academic session only. It is available to students enrolled in private, state, or federal government-owned tertiary institutions. The bursary funds will be given to Delta State students studying in various higher education institutions across Nigeria.
Delta State Bursary Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the Delta State bursary, students must meet the following requirements:
- The applicant must be a native of Delta State.
- Must be registered as full-time students in government-approved private and public tertiary institutions (PGD, Masters, and PhD students are NOT eligible).
- Students with disabilities are also eligible for this bursary.
- Must possess a valid NIN.
- Must have a CGPA of 2.20 or above in the previous academic year’s examination.
- Must be in their second year (200 level and above) in universities, NDII and HND in polytechnics/monotechnics, and NCE II-III in colleges of education.
- Must have an account with a CBN-approved commercial bank.
How to Apply for Delta State Student Bursary 2024/2025
Students from Delta State can follow these steps to apply for the bursary:
- Go to the official Delta State DSBSB student bursary registration portal at http://www.dsbsb.dl.gov.ng.
- Click on Apply Now and fill out the application form with accurate details.
- Check your email for a verification link and click on it to activate your account.
- Use your email and password to log in to the bursary portal.
- Complete the bursary form by clicking on the provided link.
- Scan and upload the necessary documents, including a recent passport photograph, certificate of local government origin, and your school ID card.
Students will undergo physical verification at the close of the registration period in their respective schools. They will be required to present certified documents during the verification and monitoring exercise, including their school ID card, a letter of identification from the Head of Department, and a Certificate of Local Government of Attestation. The Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board will carefully verify all information and monitor the application process to confirm the students’ enrollment before disbursing funds.
