The Federal Government has approved the recruitment of more teachers to fill the existing gaps in the educational sector. The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Office of the Head of Service, the Federal Civil Service Commission, and other relevant government bodies, has announced plans to recruit 3,500 teaching staff across Federal Unity Colleges nationwide.

Federal Unity Colleges Recruitment Eligibility Requirements 2024
- Must be a Nigerian citizen
- Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in relevant subjects from a government-accredited university
- Each applicant must have at least five O’ Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings
- A teaching certification, such as registration with the Nigerian Teachers Registration Council (TRCN), is an added advantage
- Basic computer skills are an added advantage
- Candidates with an HND in a related field and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) are also eligible to apply
- Applicants should not be older than 35 years (age depends on the teaching position applies for)
- Applicants must have a Certificate of Discharge or Exemption from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
- Candidates should be ready and willing to be deployed into any of the Federal Unity Colleges

- Fill in all the required information on the online application form
- Upload a recent passport photograph, a valid means of identification (such as a voter card, international passport, driver’s license, or national identification card), and your relevant academic qualifications
- Submit your application
- Print out the registration slip for future reference
Registration for this recruitment process is free. Candidates are warned not to pay anyone in exchange for a teaching job. Any candidate caught making payments will be reported to the relevant authorities.
