INEC Ad hoc Staff Recruitment 2024 is Ongoing | How to Apply Online

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) invites interested candidates to apply as an Ad-Hoc Staff for the ongoing 2024 elections. The INEC adhoc staff recruitment portal is open. Interested persons can apply to be a part of the electoral process.

INEC Adhoc Staff Recruitment 2024

Applicants will be able to apply for the several positions available, including supervisory presiding officers, presiding officers, assistant presiding officers, registration area technicians, registration area centre managers, etc.

Available categories of ad-hoc staff include (Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs)/ Presiding Officers (POs)/ Assistant Presiding Officers (APO)/ Registration Area Technicians (RATECHs) and RAC Managers for thr 2024 general elections.

Ad-hoc Position and Source Institution Qualification
SPOs – Fed Public/Civil service/ MDAs. Staff on GL 10 – 14 (Priority is given to qualified staff of NYSC /NOA/NIMC/NPC)
SPOs – INEC staff RAOs and other INEC staff not engaged in any other duties (GL 10 – 14)
POs, APOs (I, II, III) – NYSC Serving Corps members
POs, APOs (I, II, III) – Former NYSC Not earlier than 2018
POs, APOs (I, II, III) – Federal & State Tertiary Institution Students in Penultimate year and a year to Convocation.
POs, APOs (I, II, III) – MDAs (Federal and State) Permanent Staff with OND or on GL 07 – 10
RAC Managers – The school/institution hosting the RAC Head of school or a Staff on GL 07 and above
RATECHs – INEC staff Suitable ICT staff (State & HQ) of the Commission not engaged in any other duties
RATECHs – NYSC Serving Corps members in the Commission (where available)

INEC is looking for qualified and dedicated individuals to fill these roles.

INEC Ad Hoc Staff Recruitment Requirements 2024

  • Applicants must be Federal Public/Civil Service/MDAs, INEC staff, Serving NYSC members, former NYSC members, or penultimate students of Federal/State tertiary institutions in Nigeria with IT knowledge
  • Must have a degree such as ND, HND, B.Sc, or equivalent
  • Must not be a member of any political party or shown support for any candidate or party
  • Must reside in the selected state of deployment
  • Must possess valid means of identification such as NIN, drivers license, national ID, or voters card

How to Apply for INEC Adhoc Staff Recruitment 2024

Interested applicants should visit INECPRES Ad-hoc staff registration portal at https://pres.inecnigeria.org and click on Apply. INECPRES is accessible on both the mobile app (for Android phones) and the web portal.

Applicants are required to select one INEC job role according to their qualifications.

The applicant will be required to upload a recent passport photograph with a white background, and enter the email addresses and phone numbers of two referees, their valid Staff ID No./Student ID No., or NYSC Call-up number for former corps members.

After a successful application, candidates should print out their Acknowledgement Slip for the next stages of the recruitment.

2024 INEC registration is online and FREE. Candidates are urged not to pay anyone. Otherwise, if caught, such candidates will be handed over to the relevant authorities and their registration disqualified.

INEC will only deploy recruited Ad hoc staff to the state of residence they have selected. If a candidate is residing in Lagos, for example, they should choose Lagos as their state of residence.
