Lagos State Health Service Commission, LSHSC, has announced multiple job openings, seeking skilled professionals for a range of healthcare roles. Opportunities are available for consultants, officers, technicians, and interns across disciplines, including medicine, pharmacy, nursing, laboratory science, and more. Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply by meeting specific criteria for each role. Below are some of the details for each position.

1. Consultants

Qualified individuals with a degree in medicine (MBBS) and a recognized fellowship in their specialty may apply. Requirements include a registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, a valid practice license, an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, and a WAEC certificate.

2. Medical and Dental Officers

Applicants must hold an MBBS or BDS degree and meet all requirements, including registration with the Medical and Dental Council, a valid practice license, NYSC documentation, and a WAEC certificate.

3. Medical Laboratory Scientists

Applicants should have a degree in medical laboratory science. Other prerequisites include registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria, a practice license, NYSC certification, and a WAEC certificate.

4. Pharmacists

A BPharm degree is required for pharmacist applicants, along with registration with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria, a valid license to practice, NYSC documentation, and a WAEC certificate.

5. Pharmacy Technicians

Applicants must hold a Pharmacy Technician Certificate, register with the Pharmacy Council, have a valid license to practice, and possess a WAEC certificate.

6. Nursing Officers

Specialized areas include general nursing, midwifery, intensive care, orthopaedic, and cardiothoracic nursing. Candidates should have a nursing certificate and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. A BNSC degree is considered an advantage.

7. Dieticians / Nutritionists

Dietician and nutritionist applicants need a degree in dietetics or nutrition, registration with the Institute of Dietetics of Nigeria, a valid license, NYSC documentation, and a WAEC certificate.

8. Physiotherapists

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy and register with the Physiotherapy Registration Board of Nigeria. They also need a valid practice license, NYSC certification, and a WAEC certificate.

9. Radiographers

Applicants must hold a radiography degree and register with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria. A practice license, NYSC certificate, and a WAEC certificate are required.

10. Optometrists

An optometry degree and registration with the Optometry Registration Board of Nigeria are required. Applicants should also have a valid license, NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, and a WAEC certificate.

11. Health Information Management Officers / Technologists

Qualified individuals with a degree or an ND/HND in Health Information Management may apply. They must also have a valid license, registration with the relevant board, NYSC certification, and a WAEC certificate.

12. Health Information Management Technicians

Candidates need a Technician Certificate in Health Information Management, along with registration and a license to practice, as well as a WAEC certificate.

13. Medical Laboratory Technicians

Applicants must hold a Technician Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science, register with the Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria, and have a valid permit to practice along with a WAEC certificate.

14. Dental Technicians

A Certificate in Dental Technology is required. Applicants need to be registered with the Dental Council, hold a valid permit, and have a WAEC certificate.

15. Dental Therapists

Candidates must have an HND in Dental Therapy and meet other requirements, including registration with the Dental Council and a valid license, along with a WAEC certificate.

16. Medical and Dental House Officers

Applicants should hold an MBBS or BDS degree and meet requirements like Medical and Dental Council registration and a provisional license. A WAEC certificate is also necessary.

17. Nurse Interns

Candidates must have a degree in nursing or a related certificate, register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, have an induction certificate, a valid intern license, and a WAEC certificate.

18. Pharmacy Interns

Applicants should hold a pharmacy degree or equivalent and meet requirements such as registration with the Pharmacy Council, completion of the pharmacy oath, and a provisional license. A WAEC certificate is also required.

19. Physiotherapy Interns

Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy and meet additional requirements like registration with the Physiotherapy Registration Board, a provisional license, and a WAEC certificate.

20. Medical Laboratory Science Interns

Candidates must possess a medical laboratory science degree, be registered with the Medical Laboratory Science Council, have a provisional license, and a WAEC certificate.

21. Optometry Interns

Applicants must hold an optometry degree, register with the Optometry Registration Board, and have a provisional license along with a WAEC certificate.

22. Radiographer Interns

A bachelor’s degree in radiography is required. Applicants should also meet registration and provisional license requirements, as well as hold a WAEC certificate.
