Nigeria Correctional Service recruitment 2024 — Nigeria. The Federal Government has approved the recruitment of new staff into the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) through the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB). The NCoS, formerly known as the Nigerian Prison Service (NPS), is opening this opportunity for people who have the necessary qualifications and are interested in working for the Federal Government. Both fresh graduates and experienced professionals are invited to apply.

The CDCFIB has opened the recruitment portal for those who want to join the Nigeria Correctional Service. There are several positions available:

  • Superintendent Cadre
  • Inspectorate Cadre
  • Assistant Cadre

Candidates who have professional registrations in related fields will have an advantage during the recruitment process. The CDCFIB is looking for qualified individuals who are ready to start their careers in the Service. You must be willing to work in any location within the country.

The Board is inviting applications from qualified candidates for full-time appointments to fill the available positions.

Nigeria Correctional Service Recruitment Eligibility Criteria 2024

To be eligible for the Nigeria Correctional Service recruitment 2024, you must meet certain criteria:

  • Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth
  • Applicants should have the required qualifications, such as SSCE (WASCCE, NECO, GCE, or equivalent) or a degree (Bachelor’s, HND, ND, or equivalent) obtained in no more than two sittings and must include English and Mathematics
  • Must be physically fit and have a Certificate of Medical Fitness from a Government Hospital.
  • Must be of good character and should not have any criminal record. Candidates should not be members of any secret society, cult, or be involved in drug use
  • Must be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Male applicants should have a height of at least 1.65m, while female applicants should have a height of at least 1.60m
  • Male applicants should also have a chest measurement of not less than 0.87m
  • Having computer skills will give you an added advantage
  • National Identity Number (NIN)

How to Apply for Nigeria Correctional Service Recruitment 2024

  1. Go to the official NCoS recruitment portal at https://cdcfib.career/
  2. Select the job position that matches your qualifications
  3. Fill out the Nigeria Correctional Service application form with your details
  4. Upload all the required documents, including your academic qualifications
  5. Submit your application online.
  6. Print out the Referee forms, which must be filled out by the mentioned individuals
  7. Print out the registration slip for your records

The application portal will be open for four weeks from the date the recruitment was announced. Make sure all your documents and qualifications are ready before applying. Any document not presented at the recruitment center will not be accepted later. Also, you are allowed to submit only one application. Submitting multiple applications will result in automatic disqualification.

This recruitment process is free. Candidates are not to pay anyone to help them secure a job. If caught trying to pay someone, such candidates will be handed over to the authorities.

Make sure you complete your application before the portal closes because late applications will not be accepted. Be cautious of fake websites that may claim to represent the CDCFIB. Only use the official portal, cdcfib.career, to apply.

All shortlisted candidates will be informed about the next stage of the recruitment process through email and SMS. After the Nigeria Correctional Service releases the list of successful applicants, there will be a computer-based test (CBT).
