Nigerian Airforce (NAF) recruitment 2024 is ongoing. The Nigerian Airforce recruitment exercise is currently ongoing for both men and women. Both trades and non-trades men and women are invited to participate in the recruitment process. Guidelines have been shared to ensure all eligible individuals can apply properly.

According to an official statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Bureau of Cabinet and Special Services, the recruitment process started on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. This exercise is expected to end on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

Nigerian Airforce Recruitment Requirements 2024

  • Citizenship and Identification
  • All applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth. They are required to possess either a National Identity Card/NIN or a Bank Verification Number (BVN).
  • Applicants for non-tradesmen/women must be between 18 and 22 years of age by 20 September 2025. This means that those born before 20 September 2003 are not eligible. For tradesmen/women, the age requirement is 18 to 25 years by 20 September 2025, and anyone born before 20 September 2000 will not be considered. However, individuals applying for the roles of Chaplains Assistant/Assistant Imams and Driver/Mechanic must be aged between 18 and 28 years by 20 September 2025. Applicants born before 20 September 1997 will not be eligible.
  • Applicants must be single at the time of application.
  • The minimum height requirement is 1.66 metres for males and 1.63 metres for females. In addition, applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit, meeting the Nigerian Air Force’s medical and employment standards.
  • Applicants must have their Local Government Area Attestation Form signed by a military officer who is from the same State as the applicant. This officer should hold a rank not below Wing Commander in the Nigerian Air Force or its equivalent in the Nigerian Army or Navy. Alternatively, a Police Officer of the rank of Assistant Commissioner or higher may sign the form. Other acceptable signatories include Local Government Chairmen/Secretaries, Magistrates, or Principals of the Secondary Schools attended by the applicants.
  • The Attestation Form must be accompanied by the passport photograph and a photocopy of the signatory’s Driver’s Licence, National ID Card, or International Passport. Additionally, the signee must authenticate the back of the applicant’s passport photograph.
  • Non-Tradesmen/Tradesmen applicants are required to have a minimum of five credits, which must include Mathematics and English Language. These credits should be obtained in no more than two sittings in SSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB examinations.
  • Applicants must also possess school testimonials. Those applying as sportsmen/women need to provide proof of professional experience, including certificates and medals.
  • Individuals applying as drivers or in trades that require trade testing must have at least two passes in SSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB. They must also have a credit in English in addition to a valid driving licence and Trade Test Certificate.
  • Applicants with HND, First Degrees, Post-Graduate Certificates, or University Diplomas will NOT be considered for recruitment. These individuals are advised not to apply.
  • Applicants with medical qualifications must provide evidence of registration with relevant professional bodies, as well as a valid, current practising licence.

Any applicant found to have submitted false documents or academic qualifications will be disqualified from the recruitment process. If false information is discovered after selection, such applicants will be withdrawn from training and handed over to the Nigerian Police for prosecution.
