The Ogun State Government has rolled out the Ogun State teachers recruitment 2024. This program is a special intervention scheme for teachers to fill existing vacancies in public primary schools, secondary schools, and technical colleges across the state. The State is inviting applications from qualified people to begin their teaching careers in Ogun State.

The Ogun State Government has officially announced the start of its 2024 recruitment exercise under the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM). Interested candidates are to apply through the official recruitment portal at www.ogunstate.gov.ng. The portal is now open and accepting teaching applications.

This recruitment is a collaborative effort between the Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, TESCOM, the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), and the Ogun State Technical and Vocational Education Board (OGSTVEB). A date has already been set for the screening test that will assess the suitability of successful applicants after the recruitment exercise.

Here, candidates will learn about the application process, eligibility criteria, and HOW to apply for the job successfully.

Applicants are advised to use only the official portal mentioned in this announcement. The OgunTEACh TESCOM recruitment portal at ogsera.ogunstate.gov.ng is the only valid website for submitting applications. Please, do not patronise any other websites or social media platforms that may ask for your registration information or money in exchange for employment. The recruitment process is free, and candidates are not to pay anyone or offer any form of payment to secure a job.

Ogun State Teachers Recruitment Requirements 2024

  • Candidates must have at least SSCE (NECO, WASSCE, GCE or equivalent) or Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field from a recognised institution
  • For certain positions, applicants must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme
  • Candidates must have a valid means of identification, such as a National ID card, driver’s license, or international passport
  • Applicants must be computer-literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Candidates must be Nigerian citizens and residents of Ogun State
  • Applicants must be between the ages of 22 and 40
  • Candidates must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Applicants must pass the Ogun State Teachers Recruitment Examination and interview
  • Candidates with teaching experience and additional qualifications in relevant subjects will have an added advantage
  • Applicants must have no criminal record and no past convictions

How to Apply for Ogun State Teachers Recruitment 2024

Eligible and interested candidates are to apply following these steps:

  • Visit the official recruitment portal at ogsera.ogunstate.gov.ng/ogun_teach.
  • Click on the Apply Now button to begin
  • Fill in your full name, date of birth, contact information, and academic qualifications
  • Upload your degree certificate, NYSC discharge certificate, and other requirements
  • Upload a recent passport photograph
  • Complete the application form
  • Review your application and click on the Submit button to complete your application
  • Print your application slip, which contains your application number and other information

Candidates are not allowed to submit multiple applications as it can lead to disqualification. After submitting applications, eligible applicants will be invited to their examination centres for the screening exercise. They are to arrive with a printed copy of their registration slip, along with other writing materials.
