Oyo State student bursary 2024/2025 academic session is out. The Oyo State Government has announced the opening of applications for the Oyo State bursary 2024/2025. This bursary is managed by the Oyo State Scholarship Board, and will support Oyo State students who are enrolled in tertiary institutions within Nigeria and is meant to cover their academic expenses from the first year through to their graduation.
Oyo State Bursary 2024/2025
All students of Oyo State origin who are studying in public tertiary institutions in Nigeria are eligible to apply for this bursary in the 2024 academic year. The Oyo State Government pays N100,000 as bursary payment to each eligible indigene student.
This bursary is strictly for the 2024/2025 academic session and is open to students enrolled in state or federally-owned tertiary institutions.
Oyo State Bursary Requirements
- The applicant must be an indigene of Oyo State
- The student must be enrolled in a state or federally-owned institution in any part of the country
- Final year undergraduates, HND, Clinical, Aviation and Maritime students (except final year law and NCE students) are eligible
- Candidates from private tertiary institutions, part-time and overseas students are NOT qualified to apply
How to Apply for Oyo State Student Bursary
Qualified students should visit the official Oyo State bursary registration portal at https://bursary.oyostate.gov.ng/2024, click on Apply for Bursary and fill out the application form with their information
The applicant will be required to upload their Letter of Admission, Local Government Identification, current course registration form endorsed by the Head of Department (HOD), and must be a registered Federation of Oyo State Student Union (FOSSU) member.
As soon as applications have been reviewed, candidates will be notified to check their status on the portal. Successful candidates will be eligible to receive the N100,000 bursary.
Oyo State Student Bursary Payments
The payment process for the Oyo State student bursary is currently ongoing. The Governor has directed that disbursements be made. All bursary payments will be directly deposited into the accounts of eligible students as approved by the Governor.

The government ensures that all payments are made directly to students’ accounts for transparency and accountability. Any outstanding payments will be cleared once beneficiaries have updated and uploaded all relevant documents online.
