The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has shared that the Port Harcourt Refinery facility is currently going through several licensing processes. Port Harcourt Refinery recruitment 2024 is ongoing. The Port Harcourt refinery complex includes two refineries located at Alesa-Eleme, near Port Harcourt in Rivers State. The second refinery, known as Port Harcourt II or the New Refinery, is a complex refinery with a nameplate distillation capacity of 7,500,000 Metric Tons per Annum (MTA). The refinery can handle 150,000 barrels per day (bpd).
Port Harcourt Refinery Recruitment 2024/2025
NNPCL has announced that Port Harcourt Refinery recruitment 2024/2025 is now open. They are looking for both fresh graduates and experienced professionals. The company offers good salaries and benefits to its employees.
The refinery is expected to help reduce the current price of petrol in Nigeria. However, the extent to which the price will drop depends on the cost of crude oil in the international market. So, while the refinery’s operation will boost local production, external factors like global crude oil prices will still affect petrol prices in Nigeria.
Port Harcourt Refinery Recruitment Requirements
NNPCL has several positions available for both experienced professionals and graduate trainees.
To apply as an experienced professional at NNPCL, you need a Bachelor’s Degree in either First Class or Second Class Upper Division. If you have an HND, you should have a Distinction. If you have a Second Class Lower Degree, you must also have a Master’s Degree. The same applies to those with an HND; they must also have Upper Credit and a Master’s Degree. Besides education, candidates also need to have work experience and leadership skills.
For graduate trainees, the education requirements are similar. Candidates need a Bachelor’s Degree in First Class or Second Class Upper Division or an HND with Distinction. If you have a Second Class Lower Degree or an HND, you must also have a Master’s Degree. Good communication and computer skills are also required.
