Admission into the School of Post Basic Ophthalmic Nursing National Eye Care Centre, NECC, Kaduna 2024/2025 academic session is ongoing. The School of Post Basic Ophthalmic Nursing at the NECC, Kaduna, invites applications for admission from interested and qualified candidates. Below are the requirements, eligibility, application guidelines, and the entrance examination and interview dates.
NECC Kaduna Admission Requirements and Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a current practising licence issued by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
- Have at least one year of post-qualification experience.
- Have five credit passes in English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry in not more than two sittings (acceptable qualifications include WAEC and/or NECO).
NECC Kaduna Application Method
Interested candidates should obtain the application form online through the School of Post Basic Ophthalmic Nursing portal at https://eyecenter.gov.ng after making a non-refundable payment of N10,000 via Remita.
For payment, applicants should visit www.remita.net and click on Pay TSA and States, then select FGN: Federal Government of Nigeria.
In the field labelled Name of MDA/What do you want to pay, write National Eye Centre Kaduna. For Name of Service/Purpose, choose Education Revolving Fund. Under Description, write Post Basic Ophthalmic Nursing Form. The amount to pay is N10,000.
Applicant should enter their full name, phone number, and functional email address and submit. Print out the payment invoice and proceed to any commercial bank to complete your payment.
After payment, applicants should complete the application form following these steps:
- Scan a recent passport photograph and the duly stamped Remita payment receipt.
- Visit www.eyecenter.gov.ng.
- On the Home tab, click on Education and then select School of Post Basic Ophthalmic Nursing.
- Fill in the application form online and carefully read the provided instructions.
- After submitting, print out the application summary.
On the day of the entrance examination, candidates should bring along the printed application form, original and photocopy of credentials, Remita payment receipt, and two self-addressed envelopes.
Deadline and Entrance Examination/Interview
The deadline for submitting the application form is the 16th May, 2024.
The entrance examination date is scheduled for 17th May, 2024 (written examination).
Oral interview: 18th May, 2024
Venue: The School Complex Auditorium
The examination will take place at the Lecture Theatre, National Eye Care Centre, Kaduna, and will start at 8:00 AM.
Candidates are responsible for their own accommodation and feeding during the examination period. Please note that the school has not assigned any agent or organisation to assist in filling out the application form or payment. All applications and payments should be made through the specified process only.
