WAEC has released the 2024/2025 WASSCE results for school candidates — Nigeria. The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced the release of the 2024/2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results for school candidates. As such, WAEC result checker is now open for students to check their results for 2024 and previous years.
WAEC WASSCE Results is Out 2024/2025
WAEC result is out for candidates to check their grades. For 2024/2025, a total of 1,814,736 candidates registered for the 2024 WASSCE from 25,126 recognised secondary schools across Nigeria. Out of these, 1,685,889 candidates, representing 93.39%, have had their results fully processed and released. Unfortunately, 119,327 candidates, representing 6.61%, have not yet received their complete results due to ongoing issues that are being resolved.
WAEC has assured that efforts are being made to quickly release these results within a few days.
109,115 candidates with varying degrees of special needs registered for the 2024 WASSCE. This includes 145 visually challenged candidates, 473 candidates with impaired hearing, 44 spastic-cum-mentally challenged candidates, and 38 physically challenged candidates.
The results of these candidates have been processed and are now being released alongside the results of other candidates.
How to Check WAEC Results Online Portal in 2024
Candidates can check their WAEC results online by following these official steps:
- Visit the official WAEC results checker website at https://www.waecdirect.org
- Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number in the designated field
- Enter the 4 digits of your Examination Year, e.g., 2024
- Select the Type of Examination
- Enter the e-PIN Voucher Number
- Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your e-PIN
- Click on Submit and wait for the results window to display your result
How to Check WAEC Results via SMS 2024
Candidates can also check their WAEC results via SMS by following these official WAEC steps:
- Type WAECExaminationNumberPIN*ExamYear on your mobile phone (without any spaces in between)
- Send the message to 32327
Candidates will receive an SMS containing their WAEC statement of result instantly. This SMS method is only available to MTN, Glo, and Airtel subscribers. If candidates do not receive their results via SMS, they are advised to repeat the steps. Please note that SMS charges will apply when using this method to check your WASSCE result.
WAEC has assured candidates that their results will be available online within 12 hours of the request. Meanwhile, the certificates will be issued within 48 hours. Candidates who meet the statutory requirements of WAEC and have no outstanding financial obligations will have instant access to their results and certificates.
Candidates are encouraged to check their results online and subsequently apply for their digital certificates, which will be released within 48 hours.
Meanwhile, the results of candidates who were sponsored by states that are indebted to the Council are being released one after the other. All affected candidates will be able to see their WAEC results once the remaining states have cleared their debts to WAEC.

The results of candidates representing 11.92% of all candidates who sat for the 2024/2025 WASSCE are being released one after the other. As for the various reported cases of examination malpractice, WAEC has emphasised that these cases are being thoroughly investigated.

Unfortunately, I cannot do that. Go to https://www.waecdirect.org/. Enter your exam number and select 2024. Under Examinations, select ‘School Candidate Results’. Enter your e-PIN and your Serial number and click Submit.

If your state promised to pay your WAEC fee, and is still owing WAEC, yours will show indebted until WAEC is paid.
If yours is outstanding what are you going to do?
