FCT UBEB recruitment 2024 — Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The Federal Government has approved the Federal Capital Territory Universal Basic Education Board (FCT UBEB) to start recruiting Basic Education Teachers across all Local Government Areas in the Capital. This recruitment exercise is put in place to make sure that pupils in public primary and junior secondary schools in FCT receive a high standard of education. The goal is to fill teaching positions with qualified teachers to address the shortage and improve the quality of education.
The FCT Government has announced vacancies for teaching positions in its basic schools across various subjects. This recruitment exercise will last for two weeks and will happen across the Capital. It is open to individuals with qualifications such as NCE, B.Sc (Ed), B.Ed, and B.A (Ed). Those who meet these qualifications and are interested in teaching positions in Basic Schools are encouraged to apply.
After being screened by FCT UBEB, candidates will need to check the list of approved names to see if they have been shortlisted. Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a recruitment interview and must bring their original certificates.
The recruitment is ongoing for headmaster, education officer, and classroom teacher roles.
FCT UBEB Recruitment Eligibility Requirements 2024
- Candidates with the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) are eligible to apply
- Applicants must have at least five O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics, English, and three other relevant subjects in no more than two sittings.
- Candidates with B.Sc (Ed), B.Ed, or B.A (Ed) are also welcome to apply.
- Applicants should be at least 22 years old.
- Candidates must be ready to teach where they are deployed in any local government within the FCT.
- Persons with disabilities (PWD) are encouraged to apply and should indicate such in their applications.

- Click on the Apply Now button
- Create a new account using your active email address and phone number
- Fill out the online application form with your correct information
- Upload scanned copies of your recent passport photograph, valid means of identification (like a National I.D card, Driver’s license, International Passport, or Voter’s card), and all academic qualifications
- Submit your application and print out the registration slip.
This registration slip will be needed for later stages of the recruitment process, including the FCT UBEB exam and interview.
