Joining the Pepsi Academy is simpler than you think. Here are the steps to join a Pepsi Football Academy in Nigeria.

1. Get to know this football academy

The Pepsi Football Academy in Nigeria has produced many of the country’s top football players, such as John Obi Mikel, Elderson Echiejile, Peter Osaze Odemwingie, Isaac Promise, Onyekachi Apam, Solomon Okoronkwo, and Joseph Akpala. So, when you join this academy, you are on a pathway to securing football trials in Europe.

It was founded in 1992 and fully sponsored by Pepsi since 1994. This football academy is home to over 3000 students and offers 13 training centers and 54 coaches across the nation.

2. Visit a Pepsi Football Training Center

Now, here is the really important aspect that many people do not know. Pepsi Football Academy does not currently have an active website. So, if you want to register, it has to be in person. Also, they don’t accept applications at any time you feel like. They have specific dates and months, which I will show you in this Pepsi Soccer Academy article. So, to join the Pepsi Football Academy, you have to first visit one of the training centers and meet the coaches. Below is the list of all Pepsi Footballs Academy training centers in Nigeria:

3. Check if you’re eligible

Boys and girls who are between 5 and 16 years old can apply to join the Pepsi Football Academy in Nigeria.

4. Register for Pepsi Football Academy 2024

Simply visit any of the training centers I have mentioned. Here, you can now start the process to join the Pepsi Football Academy in Nigeria. The month that Pepsi Football Academy registers new talents is 15th, July 2024. So, make sure to apply before this date, otherwise, you have to wait till the next year.

For the registration, you need to bring along a parent or guardian to the training location. The coaches will check your football skills, how well you handle the ball, your balance, and your speed. If they think you have the potential, they will give you the Application and Registration form for the Pepsi Football Academy.

5. Complete the Application Form

You can take the application form home and fill it out when you have time. Remember, if you’re eligible, you need to bring one of your parents with you for registration.

You also need to provide the following documents with your application:

  1. Your original birth certificate and a photocopy.
  2. Copies of your school results.
  3. Three passport-sized photos of both you and your parent or guardian.
  4. A medical report is also required.

If you have completed your secondary school education and taken exams such as WAEC or NECO, bring those results too. You should have at least 5 credits, including Mathematics and English Language, plus 3 other subjects.

6. Pay the registration fees

After your application is accepted, you can pay the application fees at a specified bank to join Pepsi Football Academy in Nigeria. More information on these fees is provided below.

Cost for those aged 5 to 14 years:

  • Registration Fee: 1,000 Naira
  • Quarterly Fees: 2,000 Naira
  • Training Uniform: 2,000 Naira
  • Identity Card: 500 Naira
  • Training Bag: 500 Naira
  • Total: 6,000 Naira

Cost for those 15 years and older

  • Registration Fee: 3,000 Naira
  • Quarterly Fees: 3,000 Naira
  • Training Uniform: 3,000 Naira
  • Identity Card: 500 Naira
  • Training Bag: 500 Naira
  • Maintenance Fee: 2,000 Naira
  • Total: 12,000 Naira

Pepsi Football Academy Accommodation

The Pepsi Football Academy does not provide accommodation or education. For those seeking education along with football training, apply to the Football College in Orile-Imo. Nonetheless, Pepsi Academy is actually very good, and you’ll learn a lot that will set you up for a successful football career.
