Katsina State scholarship is open for the 2024/2025 academic session. The Katsina State Scholarship Board (KTSSB) through the Katsina State Scholarship Trust Fund has opened the 2024/2025 session for student scholarship applications. This scholarship is approved by the KTSSB to help eligible students fund their education. It is available to all indigene students of Katsina State. The KTSSB will award scholarships to qualified students in universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
KSSTF Katsina State Scholarship 2024/2025
This scholarship is for Katsina indigene students who are either yet to receive their admission letter, are currently enrolled with admission letter, or have completed their degree in tertiary institutions.
KSSTF generally offers both need-based and merit-based scholarships, and scholarships for students with physical disabilities enrolled in public tertiary institutions.
Katsina State Scholarship Requirements 2024/2025
- Applicants must be indigenes of Katsina, and MUST have a valid NIN.
- Students studying within and outside Katsina are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be registered full-time students in government-approved public tertiary institutions.
- Undergraduate students must present a valid admission letter.
- Postgraduate applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 CGPA system or 3.6 on a 4.0 CGPA system for a master’s degree.
- PhD applicants must have a minimum of a Master’s degree with merit.
- Need-based scholarship applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 2.0 on a 5.0 CGPA system or 1.6 on a 4.0 CGPA system, while a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 CGPA system or 3.5 on a 4.0 CGPA system is required for a merit-based scholarship.
- Students with physical disabilities are eligible to apply.
How to Apply for Katsina State Scholarship Board 2024/2025
Interested applicants should visit the official KTSSB registration portal at https://ktssb.org.ng and click on Apply for Scholarship to apply. Candidates have to first purchase the Scratch Card on the portal, and use the card number to proceed with their registration.
Students must complete the application form with their personal information and print the online acknowledgment card. Each scholarship category may be either need-based, merit-based, or disability-based.
The completed application form MUST be submitted before the 2024 KSSTF deadline. After the registration period ends, physical verification will be conducted by the Board where successful candidates will be shortlisted.

The Katsina State Scholarship Board will carefully review all the information submitted by the applicants. They will verify that students are still enrolled in their institutions before approving and disbursing the scholarship funds. Once approved, the scholarship funds will be released to various tertiary institutions within or outside Nigeria (as the case may be) to cover the tuition of students.
