In a new drive to improve education across the Niger Delta, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has teamed up with the Renewed Hope Initiative to distribute Ulesson tablets to schools across the region. This initiative spans all nine states within the Niger Delta and is designed to expand children’s access to quality education.
At the launch ceremony, Nigeria’s First Lady, H.E. Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, underlined the significance of education as a fundamental right for every child. She expressed her dedication to ensuring that Nigerian students receive quality, free education, and assured the public of the government’s commitment to providing essential resources to make this possible.
She praised the efforts of the NDDC’s board and management, recognising the positive impact this initiative will have on underserved communities. According to the First Lady, this programme not only supports children’s education but also aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, a vision to promote sustainable development in the country. By facilitating access to educational technology, the initiative aims to create an innovative learning environment that benefits young learners throughout the region.
