The Oyo State Post-Primary Schools Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has announced that the screening exercise, distribution of appointment letters, and documentation for newly recruited teachers will begin on Monday, 30 December 2024. All newly recruited teachers in the state are expected to attend this important exercise.
Requirements for the Screening Exercise
All applicants are expected to come prepared with the following:
- A printout of the congratulatory letter received after the recruitment.
- Birth certificate or a declaration of age.
- Evidence of the applicant’s local government of origin.
- Original copies of educational certificate credentials.
- NYSC certificate, letter of exception, or attestation (if applicable).
- Documents supporting any name changes, if applicable.
- Evidence of a medical test from a government-approved hospital (this will be conducted at a later date).
- Two recent passport-sized photographs.
- Two office files, each containing two photocopies of all the required documents.
These documents are essential for completing the screening process and must be submitted without exception. Applicants should also be mindful that all documents must be in original form, and the photocopies should be clear and legible.
TESCOM has made it clear that the posting of newly recruited teachers to various zones within the state will be handled solely by the TESCOM Headquarters. Applicants should note that swapping of zonal postings at the local or zonal levels will not be allowed. This decision is intended to ensure a fair and organised distribution of teachers across the state.
