President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved ₦5 billion for research in public tertiary institutions through TETfund’s National Research Fund. This announcement was made by the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, during his inspection of the venue for the 2024 TETfund National Research Fair in Abuja.
Dr. Alausa highlighted the administration’s commitment to using research and innovation to tackle national challenges and boost economic growth.
The fund will be supported by resources from public, private, and international sectors. It aims to empower researchers and innovators to address critical issues in power, healthcare, agriculture, water supply, and communication sectors.
This initiative reflects the government’s focus on advancing solutions to drive sustainable development.
