The Department of Post Graduate Nursing Studies, College of Nursing Sciences, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH Benin City Post Basic Gerontology Nursing admission form is out. This is an admission announcement for the Post Basic Gerontology Nursing Programme for 2024/2025.
UBTH College of Nursing Sciences is offering a one-year Gerontology Nursing Certificate programme. This training will lead to the award of the Registered Gerontology Nurse Certificate in the Department of Post Graduate Nursing Studies for the 2024/2025 academic session.
UBTH Post Basic Gerontology Nursing Entry Requirements 2024/2025
- Candidates must possess five credit passes in WASCE/GCE/NECO. The required subjects are English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, obtained in no more than two sittings.
- Applicants must upload a Registered Nurse (RN) or Bachelor of Nursing Sciences (BNSC) Certificate.
- Candidates should have at least one year of work experience after registration.
- A reference letter from the applicant’s last or current employer must be uploaded.
- A current, valid practising licence must also be uploaded.
- Candidates should upload a letter of financial support.
UBTH Post Basic Gerontology Nursing Method of Application Form 2024/2025
Application forms are available online from the UBTHCONS website at conubth.edu.ng. Applicants must upload a receipt of a non-refundable fee, payable via the REMITA platform to UBTH Treasury Single Account (TSA) in any commercial bank under the service type Training School – Department of Postgraduate Nursing Studies, College of Nursing Sciences.
Alternatively, forms can be obtained from the office of the Head of Department, Post Graduate Nursing Studies, UBTH.
A separate payment of N500 should be made to the Nursing and Midwifery Council Committee, Edo State, Account No. 2004854377, First Bank of Nigeria, PLC.

All completed application forms and required documents must be uploaded online. Only original, clearly scanned documents should be submitted. The deadline for submission is indicated on the notification and application forms.
The exam details (date, time, and venue) will be communicated to successful applicants after the screening process.
