Bauchi State Scholarship Board (BSSB) 2024/2025 academic session — Bauchi. The Bauchi State Scholarship Board is pleased to announce that the scholarship for the 2024/2025 academic session is now open for students to apply.
The scholarship is for indigenes of Bauchi State who are currently enrolled in tertiary institutions across Nigeria. It is an opportunity for indigene students in universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other higher institutions to benefit from this financial aid.
Bauchi State Student Scholarship 2024/2025 Session
This scholarship is available to students from all 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Bauchi State. It provides sponsorship for students to study both within Nigeria and abroad. The Bauchi State government, through the BSSB, has participated in bilateral agreements with countries, including Egypt, Algeria, Cyprus, Brazil, Russia, and China, which allows indigenes of Bauchi State to gain full scholarships in these countries.
The scholarship is exclusively for full-time students attending federal, state, and private tertiary institutions within Nigeria. Unfortunately, part-time students or those enrolled in short courses do not qualify for this scholarship.
Moreover, the Bauchi State Scholarship Board supports students with disability enrolled in public tertiary institutions.
Bauchi State Scholarship Board Requirements 2024/2025
- Applicants must be indigenes of Bauchi State
- A valid National Identification Number (NIN) is required
- Indigent students studying both within and outside Bauchi State are eligible to apply
- Only full-time students with a valid matriculation number from a government-approved public tertiary institution can apply
How to Apply for Bauchi State Scholarship 2024/2025
Candidates should visit any accredited BSSB scholarship registration centre within or outside Bauchi to complete their online applications. The list of accredited registration centres or cafes can be found at https://www.scholarshipboardbauchi.com. The application form costs N1,200, and the online registration fee is N300. After registration, applicants must collect a completed acknowledgment slip, which they need to take to their institutions for attestation while waiting for the physical verification.
The application must be submitted within the deadline as outlined in the official advertisement on the State Scholarship Board portal. Physical verifications will take place at the applicants’ respective institutions. Final candidates will also undergo an oral interview.
Applicants must submit copies of school fee receipts, a school ID card, a letter of identification, a certified transcript by the school Registrar, copies of credentials, and a Certificate of Local Government origin. The Bauchi State Scholarship Board will carefully review all submitted information.
