Kaduna State Scholarship Board 2024/2025 academic session — Kaduna. The Kaduna State Scholarship Board has opened the 2024/2025 academic session for student scholarship applications. This scholarship is approved by the Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board (KADSSLB) to help eligible students fund their education. It is available to all indigene students of Kaduna State. The KADSSLB will award scholarships to qualified students in universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

Kaduna State Scholarship Board 2024/2025

This scholarship is for Kaduna indigene students who are either yet to receive their admission letter, currently enrolled with admission letter, or have completed their degree in tertiary institutions.

KADSSLB generally offers both need-based and merit-based scholarships. The Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board also provides scholarships for students with physical disabilities enrolled in public tertiary institutions.

Kaduna State Scholarship Board Requirements 2024/2025

  • All applicants must be indigenes of Kaduna State.
  • Must have a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
  • Indigent students studying within and outside Kaduna State are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be registered full-time students in government-approved public tertiary institutions.
  • All applicants must provide a personal income tax clearance certificate of their parents or a death certificate if applicable.
  • Fresh students must provide proof of a grade B in at least five subjects, including Mathematics and English, and a grade C in the remaining subjects taken in WASSCE or NECO in ONE sitting.
  • Undergraduate students must present a valid admission letter.
  • Shortlisted foreign scholarship applicants must undergo a drug test and provide a full medical certificate from a government hospital.
  • All shortlisted foreign applicants must sign a bond agreement with the state.
  • Employed applicants must provide a reference letter from their employer, while unemployed applicants must provide a reference letter from their last institution of study.
  • Postgraduate applicants for the emerging skills foreign scholarship must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 CGPA system or 3.6 on a 4.0 CGPA system for a master’s degree.
  • PhD applicants must have a minimum of a Master’s degree with merit.
  • Need-based scholarship applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 2.0 on a 5.0 CGPA system or 1.6 on a 4.0 CGPA system, while a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 CGPA system or 3.5 on a 4.0 CGPA system is required for a merit-based scholarship.
  • Postgraduate applicants for a local scholarship must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 CGPA system or 3.2 on a 4.0 CGPA system.
  • Students with physical disabilities are eligible to apply and must provide proof of disability.
  • Spill-over students are NOT eligible.

How to Apply for Kaduna State Scholarship Board 2024/2025

Interested applicants should visit the official Kaduna State Scholarship registration portal at https://kdsg-scholarship.com and click on the Scholarship tab to apply. Students must complete the application form with their personal information and print the online acknowledgment card. Applicants can choose from Local, Foreign, Law School, or French Immersion Course scholarships. Each scholarship category may be either need-based, merit-based, sports-based, or disability-based.

The completed application form MUST be submitted within the given date in the advertisement on the official KADSSLB online portal. After the registration period ends, physical verification will be conducted by the Board where successful candidates will be shortlisted.

Kaduna Disbursement of Scholarship Funds 2024

The Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board will carefully review all the information submitted by the applicants. They will verify that students are still enrolled in their institutions before approving and disbursing the scholarship funds. Once approved, the scholarship funds will be released to various tertiary institutions within or outside Nigeria (as the case may be) to cover the tuition of students.
